Night!

Diminishing the hegemony of the celestial fireball in the sky,

Eradicating its molten-gold beams,

The once salmon and purple sky,

transformed into a vast expanse of jet-black engulfing  the earth.

A canopy of luminous stars materialized amongst the ocean of blackness,

And a wraith-silver disc hanging in the lonely sky.

The birds are silent in their nest,

And I must seek to mine.

With silent delight,

sits and smiles on the night.
